Built by attorneys who practice in the courts their clients file in.
bankruptcy.ai is not generic legal technology adapted to bankruptcy. Every workflow maps to a real practice activity. The people building it are the same people who handle the cases.
Why this exists
The honest version of the origin story.
Bankruptcy practice still runs on paper checklists and manual data entry. Not because attorneys prefer it that way, but because the tools that exist were not built for this.
Dominic Majors has run a high-volume multi-state bankruptcy practice for years. The administrative cost was not the law — it was everything that happened before an attorney opened the file. Intake by phone. Bank statements requested by email. Paystubs received as camera photos. Client data typed into the petition platform by hand from notes.
He decided to build the tool he wanted. Not as a startup pivot, not as a VC-funded bet on AI disrupting legal practice. As the infrastructure a real practice needs.
The team is small, the product is in active pilot with one law firm live — Majors Law Group, P.C. — with early conversations underway about onboarding an additional firm, and the roadmap is incremental. That is by design.
Majors Law Group, P.C. is a separate, independent law firm. Majors Law Group, P.C. is a debt relief agency. We help people file for bankruptcy relief under the Bankruptcy Code.

How we think about this
A few things we believe
The firm owns the client relationship.
bankruptcy.ai is infrastructure. Your firm's name is on the portal. Your firm receives the client data. We are not building a consumer brand or a direct-to-debtor product. The relationship between attorney and client is yours.
The petition platform your firm uses is not going anywhere — and it should not.
Attorneys have invested in their petition software. They know it. Their staff knows it. We export to it. We are the intake and document layer; they are the drafting and filing layer. Over time, we will handle more of that ourselves — but we are building incrementally, not asking firms to rip and replace.
Transparency is not a marketing tactic.
The product is in pilot. Pricing is not set. We publish a changelog so firms can see exactly what ships. If a feature is not ready, we say so. Practitioners know when they are being oversold.
Compliance is not optional.
Every workflow was designed with professional responsibility rules in mind. The platform does not practice law — it helps attorneys practice more efficiently. The distinction matters and we take it seriously.
The team
Practicing attorneys. Not outside observers.
Every member of the team has worked in a bankruptcy practice — as an attorney, as an operator, or as both. The product decisions reflect that.

Dominic Majors, Esq.
Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer
Dominic Majors is a licensed and actively practicing attorney in Arizona, California, and Washington, and is the founder of Majors Law Group, a multi-state firm focused on bankruptcy, personal injury, and consumer financial matters.
He has overseen thousands of Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases across multiple jurisdictions. The administrative overhead of running that volume of cases — the intake, the document chasing, the manual data entry, the inconsistent processes — is what led him to build bankruptcy.ai. Not as a venture-backed startup, but as the tool he wanted for his own practice.
His view of the product is straightforward: the law is complicated enough. The workflow around it does not have to be.

Garrett Johnson, Esq.
Vice President of Business Development
Garrett Johnson is a licensed and actively practicing attorney with experience in both personal injury and consumer bankruptcy practice. He comes from a high-volume law firm environment and understands what it means to manage a large case load operationally.
At bankruptcy.ai, Garrett leads business development — working with law firms evaluating the platform, running demos, and translating firm-specific workflow needs into product requirements.

John Laris, Esq.
Chief Legal Compliance Officer
John Laris is a licensed and actively practicing attorney in Washington State, representing debtors in both the Western and Eastern Districts in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
At bankruptcy.ai, John owns legal and regulatory compliance — ensuring that every platform workflow, automation, and data-handling practice is consistent with applicable law, court rules, and professional responsibility obligations. The product does not ship without his review.

Kenneth Neeley, Esq.
Vice President of Legal Product Development
Kenneth Neeley is a licensed and actively practicing attorney in Arizona, with an unusual background that spans both large-scale software engineering and consumer bankruptcy law. He began his career as a senior software engineer working on financial systems, founded a custom software development company, and later became a practicing attorney focused on bankruptcy and student loan matters.
At bankruptcy.ai, Kenn leads Legal Product Development — the function that takes what attorneys actually do in practice and translates it into what the system actually does. He is the reason the questionnaire sections map to the schedules and the export schema is validated before it reaches the petition platform.

Erin Pfeiffer
Corporate Secretary & Director of Operations
Erin Pfeiffer has spent the past five years as Executive Director of a multi-state consumer bankruptcy practice, responsible for managing and scaling high-volume legal operations. She knows what a bankruptcy firm intake process looks like from the staff side — what breaks, what slows cases down, and what the team actually needs from the tools.
At bankruptcy.ai, Erin oversees operations, corporate governance, and organizational execution. She is also the internal voice for what the firm administrator experience needs to be — a perspective that does not come from engineering.
