The bankruptcy.ai client questionnaire has 17 sections. That number is not arbitrary — it maps directly to the structure of the bankruptcy schedules and the Statement of Financial Affairs. Understanding the mapping is useful for attorneys who want to know exactly what the questionnaire is capturing and how it translates to schedule fields on export.
Schedule A/B — Real and personal property
Sections 1 through 4 of the questionnaire cover real property (home ownership, address, estimated value, mortgage balance), vehicles (make, model, year, value, loan balance), financial accounts (bank accounts, retirement accounts, investment accounts), and household goods and personal property. Each field maps to a specific Schedule A/B line.
Schedules D, E/F — Creditors
Sections 5 through 8 cover secured debts (mortgage, vehicle loans, other liens), priority unsecured debts (domestic support, recent taxes), and general unsecured debts (credit cards, medical, personal loans). The creditor matrix pre-built from the credit report supplements these sections with any creditors the client may have missed.
Schedules I and J — Income and expenses
Sections 9 and 10 collect current monthly income and current monthly expenses. These sections are supplemented by the source-integration data — payroll-verified income figures flow into Schedule I alongside the questionnaire responses. Discrepancies between what the client reports and what the payroll integration shows are flagged for attorney review.
